Is anyone using novatech laptops such as The n3 Laptop @ Novatech that can give me feedback? Or are there any other alternatives? cheers Mark
maniac Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 (edited) Look at Stone, they've always given me good prices in the past. You should be able to get a version of their NT305 laptop for the same sort of money as the novatech n3. It's a well made machine, we have 25 of them and they've been very reliable. We also used to buy exclusively Dell machines, but moved away to other suppliers about 2 years ago when Dells costs seem to increase quite a bit. We found we could get the same warranty deal and an identical spec machine from other suppliers and save about £100 a unit, and this trend continues today with the latest quotes I've had. DJ-Jonesy Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 We have just bought 30 of the nspire laptops the more recent ones, with the 3yr accidental warranty as far as we can see there is nothing wrong with them had Novatech before as well and there still running fine. very sturdy laptops and the 3yr warranty for an extra £35 was a bargin. 1
PeterW Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 (edited) Bear in mind they use several OEMs so quality will vary abit, the n3 is a Hasee unit which is a slightly unkown quantity. They also sell MSI & Pegatron units which will be of a much better quality than the Hasee models. and the 3yr warranty for an extra £35 was a bargin. I guess you have to get a quote from your education account manager to get this, it is annoying they do not offer a 3 year warranty option on thier website. Edited July 7, 2011 by PeterW 1

Until the new ones came in we had some older Novatechs that were literally a decade old and still running as office PCs. If you order enough off Simon you even get a steak and two pints thrown in as well, if you're lucky 1

Sorry you are correct! it was the older models but still had a few issues with getting these working with Acronis. maybe guessing PeterW you have something to do with Nova, if so you wouldnt mind asking the tech team if they have any fix for this to work with Arconis Snap Deploy?
