A teacher wants a very basic site created so I said i'd create one quickly so they have an idea of what it'd look like.

I just need to find a free host (even if 30days) that'll auto create a joomla install and that I don't need to wait weeks for!

So far from a google search, I have found hosts that don't email authorisation, claim to be free but direct to a non-free host or only offer 35MB of space which is useless!

WAMP / LAMP (depending on your desktop preference) would allow you to set up a site and show them what it's all about. Joomla's not too hard to install from script (that I remember) ..

Thanks for the replies - ideally i'd have found a host that allows for an upgrade to a paid service if all is well (and cheap at that).

In the interim I have chosen to set it up on our internal intranet box, though if all is well i'd still be looking for a more permenant host for her. As specky said I guess i'd have to use akeeba with this approach.
