So are you saying you've been to http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macminiefifirmwareupdate11.html, grabbed the update on that page, and verified that it installed correctly but you're still getting an error?
paulpmp4 Posted March 27, 2007 Author Posted March 27, 2007 Thanks for your quick response but I do have this update. Don't know what to do. I am stuck.
GrumbleDook Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 I have a mac mini (INTEL) solo and I have just downloaded Bootcamp. When I try to install it keeps telling me I have to update my firmware and then closes. The problem is that as far as I can see all my software is up to date. any ideas please? I did have this issue during the summer when trying to build an iMac for deployment ... I ended up rebuilding it from the restore discs, installing bootcamp (wait for the firmware error and then reinstall the update) and then patching it ... it seemed to be a lot happier this way. You might also want to ask over on the Apple BootCamp beta forum ... they helped me with some interesting features when I was playing with Vista on my Mac Mini.
FN-GM Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 i am currently working in a CLC they have 90 - 100 macs with bootcamp if you update the firmware windows xp needs to be reinstalled.
