Keeps saying updat firmware for Bootcamp Install

I have a mac mini (INTEL) solo and I have jsut downloaded Bootcamp. When I try to install it keeps telling me I have to update my firmware and then closes. The problem is that as far as I can see all my software is up to date. any ideas please?

So are you saying you've been to http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macminiefifirmwareupdate11.html, grabbed the update on that page, and verified that it installed correctly but you're still getting an error?

I did have this issue during the summer when trying to build an iMac for deployment ...

 

I ended up rebuilding it from the restore discs, installing bootcamp (wait for the firmware error and then reinstall the update) and then patching it ... it seemed to be a lot happier this way.

 

You might also want to ask over on the Apple BootCamp beta forum ... they helped me with some interesting features when I was playing with Vista on my Mac Mini.

i am currently working in a CLC they have 90 - 100 macs with bootcamp if you update the firmware windows xp needs to be reinstalled.
