MK-2 Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 if you have to ask an older relative about Mr T, frankly what are they teaching kids these days? If we're not going to teach kids about Mr T, Doogie Howser, Ravage from the Transformers and how to recite the Gummi Bears theme tune then just close the schools now for god sake!

MK-2 Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Good point - but you missed Thundercats. :-P my sincere apologies, i should be taken outside and shot for that! He-Man Trap Door Dangermouse.. I could be here forever!! there should be some form of government sterlisation if you don't know the words to the trap door intro
Gatt Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 there should be some form of government sterlisation if you don't know the words to the trap door intro It needs to be part of the National Curriculum! Somewhere in the dark and nasty regions - where nobody goes, stands an ancient castle. Deep within this dank and uninviting place, lives Berk - "Hello" - The overworked servant of the thing, upstairs - "Berk! Feed me!". But that's nothing compared to the horrors that lurk, beneath the trapdoor. For there is always something down there, in the dark, waiting to come out... Don't you open that trap door, Your a fool if you dare, Stay away from that trap door, Cos' there's somethin' down there. (Closing Theme) Creepy, crawly, slimy things that stick onto your skin, Horrid things with tentacles that want to pull you in, Squirmy, worms, slugs and snails that lie there in a goo, They'll wait down there forever till they get their hands on you. Stay away from that trap door, Cos' there's somethin' down there.

Gatt Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 I always thought it was Catch the Pigeon!! for some bizarre reason lol It is catch the pigeon-- isn't it!?! Nope, its definately "Stop The Pigeon" as that was the "working" title of the show and the theme song and it does say "Stop The Pigeon" several times sorry Gatt just noticed you already had He-Man No worries - will let you off as I forgot about She-Ra!
JPS Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 For those of you who haven't seen this website, well worth a look, good for reminiscing when childrens tv was actually good! 80s Cartoons - from Bagpuss to Thundercats, Dogtanian to Trap Door... they're all here!!
Scifigirl Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 No they missed Bonkers, and The Tick--- or were they 90's?!? I once spent 6 hours trying to work out which kids programme of the 80's, had the veetacore-- found it at last anyone remember?!?
MK-2 Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 No they missed Bonkers, and The Tick--- or were they 90's?!? I'm pretty sure it was the 90s. You could always tell 80s cartoons as the last 5 minutes of them was spent with the "now we did some dangerous things today, but kids, always remember that fighting undead mummies who can transform and fly is a skilled act and we wouldn't want you to chop grandma's head off while she sleeps, so play carefully and always ask an adult"
Little-Miss Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Ha! i did that not too long ago....the show was greenfingers or something, ive forgotten already. When they put a seed in a tree and an owl told a riddle and it would grow into something wierd...
Scifigirl Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 ;)"Welcome to the Evergreen Forest. Quiet, Peaceful, Serene--- That is until Burt Raccon wakes up!!" I even downloaded the song as a ring tone recently:rolleyes:
