Aurora Solar PV Inverter RS232 connection

I have a PV Solar array on my roof , The inverter has RS232 data logging facilities. I have connected a 15mter serial cable to it from my PC. Com Port 1 19200 baud settings as per manual.

 

The software that comes with it has installed ok and it partly sees the inverter. I have tried every setting I can think of but my PC and Inverter do not communicate.

 

I am running W7 32bit, AMD 3200 with 4gig RAM, 2TB hd

 

Turned off AV and firewall. any ideas?

Have you tried a shorter/different cable
