Anywhere to get hold of Win 95, 98, ME etc licenses??

I'm buying some new computers and determined to try and get around the problem of having to buy a qualifying license to be able to use our volume license key. The best i can get at the moment is a Vista license for about 40 quid. Does anyone know of anywhere i could get hold of some dirt cheap windows license, i'm talking like win 95, 98, ME etc?

The older you go, the more expensive it gets!! Because they are rarer and harder to get get hold of the prices go up. Win 98SE is currently £400 (or thereabouts for a genuine OEM) to use on machines.

your best bet would be to see if you can get some sort of bulk discount buying vista business licenses (I know over 30 and you get like 10% off or something with RM).

You would need retail editions of the old licenses anyway, OEM won't do you any good, unless the original manufacturer was providing them.

If you're buying new PCs, buy them with the cheapest, crappiest version of Windows the OEM will supply them with. Vista Basic or Windows 7 Starter will be adequate.

He's explained that already - he wants any old OS license that is legal so that he can then use his volume license to bring it up to modern standards.
