I haven't got the ipad in school today but i think i will take the ipod touch home tonight and try it using my wireless at home, see if that works! IS that worth doing?

Yeah, as that would mean that you're outside the school so browsing direct to the server would either work and point to Proxy Issues or not work and point you back to where you are now ..

Try connecting again. If it fails look at the Application logs in Event viewer for an error that shows a failed logon or connection from that account.

 

From that error you should able to find out why its not connecting

Event log on server is showing nothing, does that mean its not even getting to the server?

 

It would sound that way .. I take it you have no other issues .. and I know it's Granny suck eggs, but have you checked and double checked your settings to make sure you have the right ones in there?

checked all the settings over and over again, don't really know what it could be now!

 

hmmm .. been off ill but I'm back about so I'll have a dig around and see if I can find anything that it might be..

1. Have you managed to get ActiveSynch working for any other device?

2. Does it work>

3. Test via https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/ coose the activesyn test 1st then do activesyn auto dicover.

4. Check the IIS logs to see if you iPAD is hitting the exch server, not sure of your topology, ie, backend/frontend
