Keyboard settings

Hi people I have a quick problem one of the teachers has logged in and done some work and left her computer by the time she came back the computer locked and in her password has a £ sign the problem is she must have changed her keyboard settings by mistake to the American format so now instead of getting the £ she is getting # is there a way without rebooting to get into the machine to retrieve her work????

hi does not have a side numberpad and that does not work with the numbers at top is there anotherway?? cheers mate

Is it her laptop? Try using the FN number keys (FN + ALT + 156)
