Recover data from a DVD

Hi all

 

Anyone know of any freeware for recovering data from an apparently unreadable DVD? This is a brand-new disk, which has only just had data written to it, which was (sadly) subsequently deleted by the user before the DVD's integrity was checked. I am assuming that the DVD writing procedure failed at the end, when closing the track or writing the TOC. Is there anything out there that would be able to recover anything from this?

Thanks; I hadn't, but I have now! There are two sessions on the disk; the second is empty, which would explain it I guess. However, the first does contain all the files - I will see if the user is willing to pay to register the software to recover the files!!
