Hello all,

I have a quick question. We are looking into going the SCCM route and I am looking at pricing.

We currently have the following license.

Microsoft Windows Server Device CAL 2008 - license

under the Microsoft Academic Select Level A agreement.

From what I am reading on here some of the agreements include licensing for SCCM.

Does our current license allow for SCCM? I am trying to get a login to our volume license site right now - maybe I can find a better description there. The description above came from our order history on CDWG.

Your server device CAL only covers the connection to the server by a device. You will also need a SCCM CAL for each device that you want to manage with SCCM.

Hi,

I takes it that you're not on the EES license agreement or microsoft campus agreement. These two (on enteprise pack) does include a SCCM CAL as well as windows server CAL so it may be worth looking into the EES licensing scheme if you qualify for it. I believe EES scheme is available in the states as well.

thats what I am hearing. Unfortunately it sounds like the directory declined to switch to the schools agreement when our vendor discussed it with her. :( Oh well. Guess we will have to fork up the cost for the SCCM CALs.
