Find Out Creator Owner

Quick question, is there anyway to find out who is the creator owner on a folder on a share ?

Usually by going to properties and then security on the folder/file in question. You should see the creator listed there

It says creator owner then just a few unknown accounts

Where are you looking?

 

Under the Security tab should show permissions to it. One being admins/domain etc, and one being owner?

Click the Advanced button on the Security tab and then go to the Owner tab.

if its showing the account sid it may be the user account that is the "creator owners" longer exists
