Bought it on steam last night. Oh yes!

still has the same old humour to it, and the puzzles are slightly more challenging in areas. the storyline is very good too (have played about half, maybe a bit more) and really does add to the game.

GO...BUY....NOW :D

Pre-Ordered this way back when it was first available, Spent all last weekend trying to collect Potatos and was up till 2AM finishing the single player, absolutely fantastic and a worthy successor to the origonal .

Now for the Co-op

hmm, while trying to avoid spoilers (because theres some really awesome bits coming up) you're about 3/4 of the way through and theres still more of the old Aperture Science Labs to go through before you get back into the new testing areas, and a few more new gameplay mechanics to discover.

completed it last night, absolutely love it.

spotted a few easter eggs already, but dont really want to spoil it for people who haven't played yet.

lol, bought the PC version on Sat and had it completed in around 7 hours, started the CO-OP last night on my friends PS3, quite dissapointed with the CO-OP its far too short, theres 5 stages each with ~8 levels, completed that in around 4 hours, 7-11pm and several cans of lager ;)

MK-2 do you have it on the PC? or on a console?

*EDIT

just realised you have the PC version, when i get home from work tonight ill PM you my Steam username and we can go through the co-op if you want.

i wanted to play through it with someone who hasn't been through it, not someone who knows every level and gets impatient with not being out the level in minutes and through the game, sorry

I read in Stuff magazine that the console versions of Portal 2 would be using Steam technology allowing you to play co-op across multiple platforms. Anyone know if this is correct or not?

PS3 <-> PC yes, the ps3 version has steam in it and I believe they can play together and the ps3 version has a code for the pc version included but the psn is down so fail....

PS3 is best bet (when they get PSN back online) as XBox owners can't get Steamworks on their console and thus no PC copy. Rumor has it, they will struggle with custom maps too. Valve use BSP files for maps that can just be downloaded to a console for free to add new levels made by authoring tools. Easy for PC, PSN aresaid to be keen on the idea but the XBox team of course don't like that idea! At least not for free...

Just one gripe with portal 2 though, they broke the link between Portal 2 and Orange Box so you can't turn sv_cheats on, give yourself all HL2 weapons and fill the rooms with zombies ready to blow up or portal in to traps. ;)

Brought this for the ps3 so I could have the free PC copy too. Great game, completed it last night and what an ending, valve know how to please their fans :)

Love the voice acting and the addition of steam to the ps3, almost completed co-op over the bank holiday weekend on split-screen with some mates too. HIghly highly recommend this game to anyone who likes puzzle games or FPS's
