Eve Online - Dark-Rising Corp recruiting!

sorry what i meant is the eve universe is stored on lots of phisical servers with some dedicated to the likes of Jita, but in game there is only one server-instance-realm (call it what you like) that all players are in (unless you are in japan/china i think in which case they have their own dedicated server i belive so there's no communication with the rest of the planet)

Eve is a really odd game. A mix of very slow, and very compulsive.

Been with it about 6 months now and still loving it.

There are plenty of good corps out there that activly recruit newbies and help them out.

I did the tutorials, and then the Epic Arc set of missions to get into the game, then straight into a high sec based mission running/industrial/mining corp.

Great bunch of guys, everyone is willing to help with advice and free modules.

 

The game is definitly worth a look (14 day free trial, 28 if you get a buddy to recommend you)

And with the upcoming addons it looks like it's going to get much better with incarna and dust coming out soon.

Eve was a great game that took up a lot of my time from 2001 - 2004 and most of my life in the alpha/beta tests and the first few months after launch . I can still remember the time they decided to fly a titan into the alpha-test system just to see what we'd all do . That was a bit of a lag fest! Unfortunately I haven't played in years, but with all the changes and improvements since I last played I really should get back into it - only problem I have is that I can't remember the password into my old account!

Im not 100% positive but i think Deus XI is in Hidden Agenda[HiD] (the Corp i am in, in eve.) Im sure i have seen a char with that name in crop chat...

Does DRC accept a terrified newbie in a poorly armed exploration vessel? Tempted to wipe the slate tbh and start again if it has so much new stuff.

never worth starting again, Skill points are always usefull and with stat reallocating the char you rolled is no biggy.

 

Did you train the learning skills? if so those points can be re-allocated

I recived the e-mail yesterday about 5 free days (only for one of my 2 char's ) might run it to see if it drags me away from minecraft, though not sure if i want/can afford to re-sub both accounts.

 

Main in a hulk alone is ok, alt in support ships (Orca) makes life easier

I am an old friend of Ruffio's and Deus, since a year or two before EvE; we played a browser game called Planetarion. You'll still find me lurking in the public channel most nights!

Deus bounces around between HiD, minnie FW and the odd 0.0 alliance/corp depending on his mood.
