itguy22 Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Hi All, Can anybody recommend any good quality speakers, to go above a smartboard, but at a competitive price. As we all know budgets are tight everywhere? Itguy22
HaleStorm Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Are you using an external amplifier? Im guessing you probably have a similar set up to us here, computer links to amp, which in turn links to speakers. We use "Pro 1" speakers (£25 a pair) they come with all the mounting stuff and as far as i can remember some cable aswell. We order from Richer Sounds Education section, they are always very helpful and they are very quick with deliverys. The other place you could try looking is Farnell CPC, who do good deals on all sorts of electronical stuff Hope this helps 1
carvjo Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Sahara Active Speakers are OK - they come with wall brackets and a control on the end of a length of wire for volume on/off - they have two inputs (one for a PC and another for a video or similar).. Nice sound too. They tend to run out about £60 or so if you shop around.. 1
plexer Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 As has been hinted at do you have an amp allready in place? Ben 1
crc-ict Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 We use Behringer MS16 Speakers in most of our rooms. They give a good sound and seem reliable. They cost around the £40 mark - we normally get ours from CPC. You do need to buy mounting brackets for these though. HTH 1
itguy22 Posted April 1, 2011 Author Posted April 1, 2011 Hi all, Thanks for the response. We don't have an amplifyer on this particular setup. itguy22
BatchFile Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 We thend to use this: Creative Inspire A220 Speakers - Aria Technology kind of thing - any Creative with a subwoofer always seems to give surprisingly good sound that's easilly adequate for all our rooms, even the big science labs. 1
the_quick Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 We use here Vison speakers system, two speakers with small amp which is a size of network socket box, it act as well as volume control and comes with remote control. I used to use Pulse speakers from CPC but very often built in amp blows. Vision it is for use, but not cheapest, price for set is around £150 1
itguy22 Posted April 1, 2011 Author Posted April 1, 2011 Hi All, Thanks for all your replys. They have been very helpfull.
localzuk Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 The last 5 sets we've installed have been Nuvo amp+ speaker sets. They run at £92 a pop from our supplier, and they use a tiny little wall mounted amplifier.
