App Deploy on Workgroup

At one of our sites we have about 10 machines that arn't on the domain, and never will be because they are private machines, however they still belong to us and use our software. Now and again we get asked for things like Office to e re-installed or some other program on a non-networked PC. The PC's in question are all on a workgroup an they can access the main network - question is instead of going to the machines and re-installing apps is there such a way to setup a server or VM of types to deploy apps to these machines so that apps like office will just appear as an icon on the desktop ?

 

for example if they want office - I go to the server bang office on as an app deploy and then somehow or other it ends up on the user's desktop like MS word as a distributed shortcut. All the machines in question are on XP. We usually install all of our apps via an app share on one of the servers.

 

Anybody any idea about his kinda thing on workgroup or would it only work via domain ?

Thanks for that - found Purgos 3 sitting on the SAN - forgot we had that but will also be looking at WPKG a bit more but Purgos is perfect.
