MatthewL Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Right we have a 2003 server with ISA 2006 on it acting as a proxy for some of our users to enable to them to use a faster internet connection although something weird is going on. It has 2 NIC's on it, one external, one internal. When connected to a PC on the same LAN or on the other server quite with a 500mb fibre between it I can download a some 3/4Mb but when I use it on my PC on a LAN connected via a 10Mb MPLS the speed is only around 700Kbs and the network link isn't even saturated. Our current internet pipe which goes to a central gateway is saturated hence the extra pipe, but something isn't right some where, any ideas?
SYNACK Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 10Mb MPLS? perhaps a network diagram may help.
MatthewL Posted March 29, 2011 Author Report Posted March 29, 2011 MPLS - its a network Virgin Media have its basically a fibre into a cloud, doesn't provide internet just a site to site VPN but hosted centrally is how I gather it works. I haven't got a network diagram as network's are not my responsibility just servers but I am trying to draw one up but it we have that many different networks going places its taking me time!
