CHR1S Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 This is how you do it... Before - http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2011/03/23/article-1369216-0B4B564300000578-684_634x446.jpg Just over a week later - http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2011/03/23/article-1369216-0B4B564300000578-900_634x413.jpg Now do you think you can fix some potholes please?? 3
mthomas08 Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 I saw that on the sun, showed me boss a while ago today.. it does put us to shame. That was done in 6!!!! days!!!!! Would have taken our lads here 6 months!!!!!! And the bad part on that is, there is no sarcasm on that 6 months.... It really does go to show how to do things, stop having tea breaks every 5 minutes and packing to go early at 4 and starting at 10...
Andrew_C Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 To be fair to our lot, that road will (obviously) have been shut while the repair was done. Over here, they do try to keep the roads open, and work on them at the same time. Most motorway maintenance is being done overnight; excluding major re-builds. But that said, it is impressive!
mthomas08 Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 If closing roads down for 6 days is the result, I am VERY sure people would be happy to change their routes for 6 days instead of endless traffic for 6 months....
SpuffMonkey Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I'm not sure I believe that - the bushes seem a lot bigger in the first picture - which seems unlikely..
achedgy Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I think the bigger bushes have been taken down to re-pave. On the left hand side they're virtually identical :S
bladedanny Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I'm not sure I believe that - the bushes seem a lot bigger in the first picture - which seems unlikely.. Maybe. It looks like they may have had to cut the trees down to put in that slope of concrete which is to presumably stop it happening again?
CHR1S Posted March 25, 2011 Author Posted March 25, 2011 Why on earth would they want to fake fixing a road?? Their country is in ruins, mostly irradiated and they take the time to fire up photoshop?
Mr.Ben Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Its taking 14 weeks to lay a cycle path across some fields in our town, and they have still managed to have some traffice lights in one of the busiest parts - seemingly to park their cars!
TechMonkey Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Is it wrong my first thought was "How awesome would that be to ride on a bike!!"? To the first pic. The second one much more awesome on a motorbike.
somabc Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Let's see them fix this one then! http://mdn.mainichi.jp/photospecials/graph/080616damage/87.jpg
