Anyone else have real problems with these?

Apart from the silly installation routine that requires you to have the camera plugged in and is seemingly impossible to create an msi for Vista they are just randomly stopping working with a manual install.

Once installed they work for a while, then the little icon in the sys tray stops detecting that the camera is plugged in, then its "USB device not recognised" messages.

Rather than create an msi, do it as a legacy install....as for the program, we put it on our w7 machines and had no issues at all.

Legacy? You mean visit each machine and install? Done that and getting these errors :(

hey im starting to get the same faults too :(

RM have sent me out 2 replacements, however just installed the software, the camera works but any other usb device becomes unrecognised (including smart boards), I think its poor software.

Did some more testing, I think the Easi view is locked to a specific USB port, if you plug it in any other port, it locks out other usbs :'(

OK... think I got it, the easi view only works when plugged into the back of your computer anyport, not the front USB, you cannot use any USB extensions cables given the cable is very short.

Im guessing the easi view drains too much USB power?? causing the fault?

Confirmed, using a power USB hub gets the easi view working with USB extension cables and works on front USB ports. Such Bad design!!!

Yep I have had major isssues with these as well, you plug it into one port, works fine, reboot the pc. plug it into the same USB port and it comes up as unknown hardware, wish I hadn't bought the bloody things.

I will try using the rear USB ports.

Stew - the key is to ensure the drivers are working properly. I found that on a restart the drivers messed up (stupid I know) but RM have the working versions, you need to ring and ask (unless they started shipping it in the boxes now)
