Enable trackpad secondary click through workgroup manager

Is there a way to enable the secondary click for the trackpad in work group manager on the xserver server.

Which will make it easier when users log into the laptops and the server.

You should be able to do this with a manual PList entry in WGM.

On a laptop, set the trackpad settings as you'd like them for all users, then go to ~/Library/Preferences and make a note of the the appropriate plist (on my 2007 MBP, it's 'com.apple.driver.AppleBluetoothMultitouch.trackpad.plist', but yours may differ, so check modification dates as you set up your trackpad preferences). Then, in WGM go to the computer group you'd like to set these preferences in, hit Preferences, Details, then import the preference list with the '+'.

Should get you there.

Did you happen to figure this out? It is driving me mad. It should be very simple. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance. Jake

Hi Jake

The easiest way is if you go into the preferences where all the plist files are.

Then if you change the setting on the mac arrange all the files in order of date and copy it into work group manager.

Hope this helps.

I have done exactly what you said to do the file that is modified is com.apple.driver.AppleBluetoothMultitouch.trackpad.plist.

But this does not enable tap to click despite the fact that it contains an entry called Clicking which is a Boolean value with True with tap to click is enabled.

Did you actually get this to work for yourself?
