R2 Scheduled Task not working! Please help

We have 2008 R2 servers running at two seperate sites. They both have identical scheduled tasks setup which are designed to run each night, to upgrade Sims.net (Education IMS system). These tasks will not run at either site and we don't know why! When forced, they run perfectly!

 

Can anyone offer any advice?

Can you run any task as a schedule. Do the following

 

Try something basic like opening notepad.exe

Try running the task logged in Windows.

 

If this works then schedule the same task and set "Run whether user is logged on or not".

 

Can you also look at the history tab if the task and check for errors.

Check your task history. Select your task in Task Scheduler then go to the History tab. It will show you the events logged from the previous runs of the task. This should provide you a good springboard to start from.
