EduTech Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 (edited) Evening All, I have been doing some cleaning out in one of the office's i look after, a community center in fact and they have a lot of items which were purchased by there previous IT (Part-time) Person whom from what i can see didn't really know how to manage his money. some things were purchased very recently some of which have just been in storage but never opened. The Community Center is a NON-PROFIT Organization so i can move the figures around a bit. I think they are going to the invoices they found for some of things, but i did say some prices are a bit high but as i said open to discussion. I was thinking of having the Acer Laptop myself if i hadn't just brought a Macbook Pro! LOL I had a meeting this evening and they have no use for any of the items and don't see any reason for them being left lying around. I thought that maybe they would need the new laptop but everyone has one so they can only assume he was maybe purchasing this for himself. I'm not sure what happened and the reasons as to why he is no longer there, but just wanted to let you know. I don't have it at hand so pictures would be difficult but everything listed is boxed up and brand new so pictures can be found around online. They have provided me with the prices in the first instance, but i'm happy to discuss them further. At least it will help generate some funds for them to spend on helping enhance parts within the community center. List is as follows: Laptop - £558.00 Acer TM8372TG-5454G50MNBB 13" LED TFT (1366x768) Intel Core i5-450M 2.4GHz nVIDIA GeForce 310M 4GB RAM 500GB Hard Disk DVD/RW / Bluetooth / Finger Print Reader Windows 7 Professional 8.5 hours battery life Desktop - £546.00 (2 Available) Dell Vostro PC Dual Core 2.9GHz 2GB RAM 250GB Hard Disk DVD/RW Windows 7 Home Desktop - £558.00 HP Desktop PC 3125 AMD Athlon X3 440 3GHz 3GB RAM 500GB Hard Disk DVD/RW Windows 7 Professional Monitors - £78.00 - 2 Available View Sonic 19" Widescreen TFT Monitor and HP 19" Widescreen Monitor @ £114 Wireless Routers -£71.00- 3 Available NetGear DG834G Wireless Router Wireless Dongle - £30 - 4 Available NetGear WG111 Wireless Dongle Microsoft Office Proffessional - £294.00 - 2 Available DotMatrix Printers - £234.00 - 2 Available Epson FX890 DotMatrix Printer There is also: Epson S20 Colour Inkjet Printer HP ScanJet G2410 Scanner If anyone has any questions, just let me know. postage is not included. No worries mate that's okay i am sure they will go on eBay no issues i have sold some on there in the past to be fair and they went for a lot more than that shockingly! eBay FTW! just wish they never took so much of a cut!
tech_guy Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 That's why I've stopped flogging stuff on eBay - too expensive now.
CSNM-Carl Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Prices are far too high, especially for the desktops.
EduTech Posted February 27, 2011 Author Posted February 27, 2011 Prices are far too high, especially for the desktops. I have a meeting with them next week some time hoping to say something along the lines of "let me just sell them and get what i can" if that works then it can be a free for all
EduTech Posted April 4, 2011 Author Posted April 4, 2011 So what happened? It all has gone apart from some wireless access points. James.
