leemac13 Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 I am trying to get rid of the System Tools virus from a friends computer there are unfortunetly in bed so dont have access to the keyboard as using logmein to look at the system. is there a way to get the computer into safe mode without pressing f8? I have tried running the msconfig progam but the virus is stopping any .exe files being run.
Fraser-09 Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 You could use Teamviewer (TeamViewer - Free Remote Access and Remote Desktop Sharing over the Internet) and use the 'reboot in safemode' option. Teamviewer is free for non-commercial use. Fraser
