Why do people do stupid horrible things like this?

I don't get how someone who'd been sacked after 20 years for "Child protection concerns" would get a job in a nursary where the kids would be more vunerable than at any other age :(

TBH she is a menace to ALL pupils and it is a bit sad how the issue about Asian children has been highlighted -I would be very unhappy if anyone had sprayed air freshener near my children or washed their hands in pine disinfectant or made them stand on newspaper at that age.

There is something odd though - if she really had lost her job before then how did she get this one?

I saw this on the MSN site, had a link to a article which actually asked several questions. I wont repeat them but it certainly got me thinking, the questions attacked both sides. The one and only question that attacked the mother was, why did it take so long to complain about it. (apparently it had gone on for a while).

Totally agree that you shouldnt be doing this, if students are coming in often smelling then surely thats a matter you raise with the Key Stage teams. That can then be raised with the parents in a civilised matter :)

Shocking!

She was there for 20years without anything happening?

Surely there were other staff too?

At that age kids could be affected by their treatment for the rest of their life or even think this is normal treatment by others!

I was given a written warning in my old retail job for spraying linx deodrant (was a hot day and I was a little sticky) I was in the only none shop floor area (behind the door at the back of the shop, we had a small room prob 2m x 2m wide I was in and you could smell the deodrant a little from outside. Aparntly "its a sackable offence to use it on the stores property due to risk of asthma attacks"
