Hi,

I am looking for a very small PC, which basically would just display webpage on a LCD screen.

It will need to have a HDMI port.

Small would be ideal, so I can stap the PC to the back of a TV and just display my eco results in school. A small Apple TV would be great, but cannot display webpages :(

Any recommendations?

Thanks

+1 for the Revo's such a fantastic bit of kit in such a tiny package The VGA + HDMI out will drive two minitors as well :) Go for the ION Graphics version if you want to drive them hard though we run some pretty complex Powepoint shows with embeded Videos of Fast Action scenes and they are great even at HD resolutions.

Hi,

Many thanks for the info.

Would I be able to mount these units behind a screen which is also mounted to the wall?

How would you go about attaching the Acer model?

The VESA mount will already be used on the screen, for attaching the bracket to the wall :(

Any ideas?

Thanks

The Acer comes with a mounting bracket the holes are pre-punched with VESA spacing but I just use a couple of self tapping screws into the rear of the TV

If you dont want to do this on your new TV then a couple of decent size strips of Velcro will do the trick.

Sounds Great.

Basically I am doing a small eco disploay board, so was thinking of a 24 inch screen or 22in.

Would the acer fit on these ok? with velco, as well as the screen being mounted on the wall?

Thanks

Not if your planning on using the VESA mountings to mount it to the wall, the braket is ment to fit it to the back of the monitor when the monitor is on the stand on a desk I have used quite a few of these they are really nice but ended up screwing them to the wall behind the monitor.

Hello guys,

I'm joining this thread because I have a similar problem.

I have a 42" monitor to which I need to attach a PC with some kind of bracket that allows me to mount monitor+PC to the wall.

Unfortunately my requirements are pretty strict:

1) The PC cannot be an ION based platform since it must run a quite CPU+GPU intensive application. Until now I've only trusted other solutions (based on Intel E7500 or i3) with dedicated graphic card. What's your opinion on a switch to an ION (also dual-core) platform?

2) The PC size should be the smallest possible. Zotacs and Acers suggested in this thread would be perfect but break requirement #1

3) I still have to find a VESA compatible bracket that allows me to host a PC *and* let me mount everything on the wall (and bear the whole weight).

4) The GPU shall be a discrete chipset (no IntelHD whatsoever)

5) Power consumption and noise are not an issue (given the other requirements it was obvious)

Any suggestion?

Thanks for any hint!

@jman. Can you tell me what the application is and i can give it a try with the Zotac sat on my desk. The Celeron and the Pentium they do in the Zotacs have a bit more power than the Atoms, and with the SSD rather than a slow hard drive they seem very nippy.

The main burden is a Flex-based application. It is strongly CPU-bound, uses two CPU cores (if available) but not so much RAM (2gb with Win7 is ok).

Oh I'm updating my previous post with the other requirements I forgot.

Thanks

Hi,

Many thanks for the comments.

I am going to order the Acer model today :)

Which screen do you recommend. It is just a screen to display our eco monitoring system, so a 24" TV?

Please recommend.

Thanks

Hi,

I have the Acer Revo all now. Please recommend a good LCD TV / monitor to run the Acer. 26" looks to be the right size for the area.

Thanks
