sharepoint database not reducing after delete

i am running out of space on my sql database for sharepoint

 

so i deleted some content emptied both recycle bins and space has not gone down

 

ideas please

Have you tried shrinking your database? Clearing logs? Something to Google at least.

hi

 

shrink the log files for associated with that database make sure you do a backup from SQL server though before you carry out the shrink operation

 

also worth checking the recycle bin settings on sharepoint central admin and ensuring that it is set to periodically clear it
