Hmmmm. There are some good deals at the moment with Specsavers. ;)

Mike why have you got rep again??? lol

It looks like the controversial threads have dried up, at least for now. So I have no reason to upset anybody. :(

It may be just coincidence, but I will regard my campaign as having been successful (so far!). Hence I have no option but to either disappear or to help people!

Mind you - I have always done that for those people genuinely asking for help, in what I regard as a professional manner! Just as I have through the years on SupportNet!

Trawling back thro' all the threads I have contributed to, it is so obvious that I have been helpful on the vast majority. However, as in all walks of life, people tend to react to the negative and ignore the positive! Andy Gray can testify to that! ;)

The info we got straight from the horses mouth was that some high end machines did not work, some lower end ones did. It is pretty certain a dual core graphics card is needed but not all of them work...

I'd like to say 'I hope that helps' but I'm sure it doesn't.

Dual-core Graphics card??? whoa, steady on.

That is exactly right Creese. It is aimed at high end users to help them with the data analyis, especially on the fly.

I know what will be coming next - everbody will start wanting it on SLG! Now that would, I assume, be a big 'No! No!' for a very long, long time to come!

My understanding is that, the whizzy stuff and graphics is for the primary user / data manager, senior team, analysts, head of year / curriculum maybe. The output will then be a static, that could be shared easily, published maybe for the department to see, and even kept updated. Like with the dynamic user groups, with notification to changes. Everyone will have access, like they currently do to the data via reports. But they may be created by someone else. All those wannabe Tom Cruise's will just have to go home and use the Wii for their fun ;)

Easy win: mention Charlene from neighbours :p

Whoa? Just repeating what Capita said in December, when they demonstrated it to several schools from 2 different authorities.

What campaign :)?

As I have told you before!

The campaigh to challenge, as strongly as possible, those that knock SIMS in an inappropriate way and/or by making untrue statements, and/or as a result of lack of knowledge of how the system works. These threads were quite common at one time and were not being moderated in any way.

My responses were then obviously not fully appreciated by the moderators and so I consequently had to try and correct their attitudes and their responses both to what I was trying to do and also to myself personally!

I still do not respond to any post, either here or on SupportNet, by one particular person! Which is a great pity really as there is much help that I could give in response to some of that person's posts! Edugeek is the poorer for that!

I am now waiting for the deluge and, hoepfully, a few Red Square reps!

At least I ain't attacked crease re. his Kylie reaction! ;)

Not sure whether he don't like me ....

Not even if they slate SIMS inappropriately? That will be a campaign #FAIL.

Never met either of you, so can't say. But Kylie does nothing for me... Now Nigella... now we are talking. I must also say a less famous but better actress wins over both of them. (If I don't say it I could be in trouble)

Nigella is just inappropriate in my opinion. BBC 2 Sunday at 11am talking about what she'd like to do with the rolling pin while seductively looking over one shoulder... my word.

Awwwwwww shucks, I ain't got a spare ticket for you! :evil_twisted:

Phew, close shave. I'm quite particular about how my ears are assaulted.

Try listening to our local young lady www.bethrowley.com easier on the eye and the ear. And not so far to travel.

Your Profile Location is 'On the dance floor'.

I could not find it on AA Route Finder!

Ah, brain working on other things.

Any dance floor that will have me. Mainly west country but soon to venture on to S Wales ones.

Still leaves a few unanswered. Such as how did they know it would do this waaay before they still don't know the spec of the machine it might run on.

Because marketing rocks? :D

I'm thinking they are still using the graphic from BETT 2010, what it could do, what they want it to. Saying it's now a tool for any staff to easily analyse groups of data is a little premature, i agree with you there for sure.

Any problems seeing that file from my link? It's the first time i've used that feature, thinking it was too large to upload to the 'Geek.
