Bankesy Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Hello Does anybody have any suggestions as to why PowerPoint 2007 might kick out the following error message upon attempting to save: 'PowerPoint found an error that it could not fix. You should save presentations, close...' All I can say is that the file does contain a lot of images taken from google and other search engines if that helps. Thankyou
6Foot2 Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Does it also offer to start PowerPoint in Safe Mode next time you start the program? I ask because we had a spate of this and, as I recall, it turned out to be a problem with the presentations rather than PowerPoint itself.
Bankesy Posted January 17, 2011 Author Posted January 17, 2011 Hello No the error message doesn't say anything about safe mode but I think you might be right about it being the presentation because nobody else had the problem and they all contained similar material.
RTFM Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 This may be way off the mark, but if you open powerpoint then do file -> open -> point to the project then do 'open and repair' does that do anything? I know it can work wonders on word documents which mess up so maybe would work for you?
Michael Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Are you running PowerPoint 2007 with SP2? And how large is the PP presentation?
