AshMan91 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 When i booted up my laptop and tried accessing my HDD it came up with the following error message. I've never seen this error message before, so i haven't a clue what the problem is. Hopefully i don't have to format? :/
chris_uk Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 right click explore, install some antivirus software. The microsoft free one is good. It looks like you have picked up the autorun virus. Have a look for the autorun.inf in the root of the folder.
andydis Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 its autorunning maybe an autorun.inf , can you right clcik the drive and click "explore" ?
AshMan91 Posted January 13, 2011 Author Posted January 13, 2011 I've right clicked and clicked "explore" and it's still coming up with that message. And I'm running AVG 9.0.
LosOjos Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Can you open any folders or drives at all? You may need to reset default file associations if something has overwritten them, try merging the two attached reg files to your registry Default_Folder.zip 1
AshMan91 Posted January 13, 2011 Author Posted January 13, 2011 Nope i can't access any of my files. It was working fine last night before i shut it. I come home and it's doing this! "Dark times"
AshMan91 Posted January 13, 2011 Author Posted January 13, 2011 I've sorted it now! Thank you for the help guys
