Sam_Brown Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Small problem, When Sysprepping a laptop it resets the Wifi settings such as the WEP Key and which network to connect to. Does anyone know of a work around so that you can get SysPrep to remember these details? Otherwise it means manually setting the laptops to connect to the WiFi. B

chilbs Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Aruba have produced an open source tool for doing this the link is here https://labs.arubanetworks.com/ It is the WZC Auto Provisioning tool. There is an exe in WzcAutoProvision\Components\WifiCfg\bin\Release\ of the zip file and the help (/?) should tell you everything you need. Can deploy with a startup script when the laptop is still cabled after imaging. Chilbs 1
sted Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 ive just added a runonce script to my sysprep file that runs another batch file on the c drive called say wifi.bat that uses WifiCfg_XP.exe then deleted the batch file on the local pc that had the wifi details in
