I've tried searching but it doesn't appear anyone has mentioned this yet (no doubt i'm months behind the program and you'll all tell me it has :p)

MEES is the replacement microsoft licensing solution for schools where you pay per license by the number of full time staff employed by your school rather than the number of PCs

A fantastic idea as our FTE works out about 1/5th of the quantity of PCs we have so we're hoping to save thousands!!

Am i behind the times or is this news to some of you?

Licensing changes for schools - there's good news coming at BETT - Microsoft UK Schools blog - Site Home - MSDN Blogs

^that's from the 6th of december but in case like me you've been incapacitated for the past 3 weeks (flu :() you may have missed it

EDIT: damnit i searched 4 times and found nothing, and now i find this thread: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/licensing-questions/68097-licensing-changes-schools-theres-good-news-coming-bett.html

Fingers crossed it's useful here to some of you who don't go in the licensing section
