Changing Time setting using GPO

I need to change the time format for all my users from mm/dd/yyyy to dd/mm/yyyy. I want to accomplish this task using GPO ro scripts. can any one help please?

On Windows Server 2008 you can find it:

 

User Configuration\Preferences\Control Panel Settings\Regional Options

 

Else you will need to do a reghack.

I am using Server 2003 with a windows XP SP2 environment

CSE can be installed on XP SP2, you'll have to do the management of the GPOP from a vista or Windows 7 PC. All these settings will work on your XP SP2 machines. CSE GPOP also run fine from a 2003 domain

I have about 250 client systems with xp, no access at the moment to win 7 or vista systems. I really want to roll out this solution as a gpo or a logon script. this would eliminate me going from system to system and changing any settings. The change is needed to facilitate an in house program which pulls the date from the system but expect it to be in the dd/mm/yyyy rather than the mm/dd/yyyy that the system currently gives. I read that this can be done through scripting but i don’t know how to code the solution. any further help is greatly appreciated. Thanks so far for the attempts.

lets look at it another way: Are you really sure you want to deploy an application from a vendor/programmer who can't even properly handle different locales/time formats? That's crap programming if you ask me.

if mm/dd/yyyy is the correct format for your country/region why change it to mm/dd/yyyy and confuse users, and possibly even create

problems in other area's or applications.

And, you wouldn't change your valuta notation from £ to $ or € would you? (finance would probably lynch you! )

Sims needs that format so.I'm not surprised! But I think you can do it using a registry setting and importing using startup script

As said earlier, you could try a reghack to set the setting.
