mthomas08 Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Must say this has raised up some great points. We are already aware that Software/MS licenses will need to be checked/redrawn up, we are currently awaiting some thing next month which could allow us to do what we want with MS license wise for 10k a year. As for SIMS we were not aware of this but we are now and are going to raise this up with the Head. We are also going to be asking Depts to check their purchased software if licensed for us to use once we become an Academy (if we still do). Please keep the info coming, this will help us greatly. I think it is about £150K the school gets extra, I believe most of that is going to be in the pocket of Licenses.
teejay Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 TBH, I've checked all our major software and all apart from SIMS so far we can transfer the licence across at no cost to the school. I've also checked our hardware, same thing. I'd be interested to know if schools with other MIS systems will also be charged by the supplier.
