As above, help! The support team have said call professional services but they aren't open just yet, no accounts with sysman access are working... a few are but the vast majority are not.

This is after the SQL Server 2008 upgrade.

How many accounts do you have that need sysman access??? (I assume you mean SIMS)

Try (after a backup) detaching and reattaching the database, this can often 'reattach' the password to accounts.

Obviously, I am not SIMS so don't take my word for it!

Sorry Systems Manager access is to allow access to the individual users, the data manager is off who does this area... so i'm stuck, i had access on my account but my pw doesn't work, it looks to have been removed. If I have access I can reset everyone elses - happy days, bit of extra admin but I can deal with that.

The joys of things you aren't supposed to know about but support...

Resolved? How did you out of interest?

As a future safeguard (sort of) I always kept a backup emergency account that a team of people might be abel to access, or even better, with the username and password securely stored (ie in a safe) in case of emergency that, say the dept head, could go to and get.
