"From the 14th February 2011 all of CLEO's network and services support and development will be managed by Lancashire County Council IT Services."

 

One of the Server farms has already been moved from Lancaster Uni to County hall in Preston.

 

Lancashire CC have announced they are awarding a contract to BT to be their "strategic partner" in providing support.

This was on teh cards before I quit the Schools ICT Center over a year ago (the re-tendering for the support contract). This could be interesting.

The "New Company" (LCC and BT) have also taken over Cumbria's HR and Payroll. I've been very happy with the previous CLEO/LUNS set-up in Cumbria having been here since its inception. Wonder if it will continue to develop in the same way. Bit worried to be honest!!

Does this mean that the Virgin Media 100Mbs fibre that was rolled out to us last year will be taken away and replaced with BT fibre?
