Should know but don't how to untangle shared IE8 settings

I know I should know but am at sea on how to sort out a Windows Server 2008 / XP Pro network problem I'm experiencing where IE8 settings are being shared by all staff

 

Anyone give me a clue where to start looking please?

It's not a mountain of a problem but I haven't a clue where to look next to try and sort it out as clearly it's not meant to work like that!!

I first spotted the problem happening when I went on one of the Teacher workstations to run some updates (Adobe etc) after doing that she logged back on and not long after mentioned that all her Favorites bar URLs had been replaced by mine! Clearing them off she then added her own and now on another workstation I found that mine had all vanished and been replaced with her new ones. Looking at the Favourites that pop up when I log on now I see that I'm picking up all the teachers favourites. It's like as if we are sharing a profile for just IE8 - we don't have mandatory nor roming profiles set up. I hope this makes a bit more sense now?

So if you don't have roaming or mandatory profiles and presuming you don't redirect favourites somewhere else how do you expect favourites to follow users?

If you are running windows 2008 I think you are redirect favorites have a look at this Redirect Favorites and Cookies folder using a Group Policy

I think ricki has given me a good pointer where to start looking - unforyunately I'm only at that school a day a week so can't get on top of those sort of issues as instantly as I'd like.
