Garmin SatNav producing strange routes

I have a Garmin Nuvi 205 SatNav with the latest software and map update. Recently I have found that it makes some strange routing decisions whilst I was on a trip to Anglesey. I found that I could always reproduce the route by, for example, getting the fastest route from Dunkirk, Cheshire to Deeside, Clywd. It sends me down the A494 except that at the A548 junction it routes me up the slip road, across the roundabout and back on to the A494. See the picture to see what I mean.

 

I have also seen a similar error when I was on the A404M, junction 9b when I was on a trip to Legoland. Again I was taken up the sliproad, across the roundabout and back down the sliproad.

 

I contacted Garmin support and reset the unit as requested and still I get the same problem. Garmin claim that they cannot reproduce the problem and that I should get them to replace the unit but as it is out of warranty I would have to pay £40.

 

I would like to avoid having to pay for this if I can, so, I was wondering if someone with a similar Garmin unit could try putting in the same route and see if they get the same strange route. That way if it is reproducible on other units I will go back to them and see if they can sort out the problem.
