Operations Master Transfer - Error

I'm moving my roles from the old server to the new one, but, im now sharing the roles over 2 servers.

 

On the old server I transfer RID to server 1 and its happy and it replicates to the other servers.

 

I then transfer PDC and Infrastructure to server 2. On server 2 and the old server the roles show. On server 1 the roles show as ERROR.

 

There dont seem to be any error messages linked with this, just a generic -

MS DTC could not correctly process a DC Promotion/Demotion event.

Which MS says you can ignore.

 

Any ideas?

Does the new server show as having the roles from the new server or not? If it does and seems to be happy you could try disconnecting the old server for a while and checking everythign still works. If not you could seize the roles instead which will force them onto the new server. Either way you may need to wipe the old server.

The old server and server 2 show the correct roles transferred (nothing for old server), its just server 1 showing Error for the two roles on server 2

 

Does that make sense?

It has corrected itself, seems it just needed time.
