I am after a compact camera, can anyone recommend one?

 

I have a SLR just after something a little smaller to carry around with me all the time, hate been without one but get a little tired of carrying the SLR all the time.

What's your budget?

 

In the family we have both a Sony Cybershot DSC-W170 and a Canon Digital IXUS 200 IS. Both are very good. If you had to push me, I'd say I prefer the Sony!

I don't have one! I tend to just buy and get something of decent quality.

 

I have a Sony SLR so what Sony one would you recommend?

I can only recommend the one we have (see my earlier post)

 

I've just had a look at the Which? website. Their Best Buys are dominated by the Canon IXUS range (all models from what I can see!) The Sony they recommend is the Cybershot DSC-HX5

not to side track but I had a post here about SLR cameras and am contemplating about getting the Panasonic FZ or ZF 45 or 100 which is a bridge camera and is very light and has a load of good features, will prolly get this camera instead of an SLR

A few people have said to me Panasonic and I was recommended one a while ago when I was looking. I will have a look into them.
