Wireless connects and drops for users

Ok here the problem, we are using D-link 2100 access points around the school. The only machines that really connect to them are the computers on teachers desks. Weve had problems in the past but they have been working quite smoothly as long as you can convince the teachers to be patient.

 

Anyway we have just come up with a new problem, when a student logs in on a machine it connects then as processes and things are loading up it drops. It then connects again and disconnects a couple of seconds later and this just keeps going.

 

Now if a member of staff logs in it disconnects again as the processes are loading up but then connects again and stays connected.

 

If your an administrator it works fine and doesn't disconnect at all.

 

Im guessing it must be permissions or something somewhere but ive looked and cant find anything.

 

Any help would be much appreciated.

ignore this for now it works on some machines and not others. Will see if i can see a difference.

How have you got things set up?

what is your security setup?

Is the wireless network setup manually on the machine or via a GPO?

I am using wpa for the campus and same update wireless adapter drivers of latops.

 

But this does not mean the will not drop randomly. For 2100 I face it once or twice a day..
