Hey guys,

My friend recently gave me his Ipod touch, and he said that it wouldn't restore, so I thought I would take a look.

It's a 8GB 2nd gen Ipod touch, and every time I go to restore it using Itunes, It comes up with "error code 9" I've looked on various forums and stuff. But i can't seem to find a positive answer that will actually restore it.

I know it is a different error but the hard reset method or deleting that file and trying to re store it again should work - if not apple has forums for how to resolve those issues.

If it is completely knackered after trying the above then take it to an apple store / genius bar, might have to pre arrange this over the phone or online.
