Darknight Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Has anyone got or know of anyone who wants to sell a Matrox DualHead2Go Analog Edition that they no longer need. or if there is something similar to this product please shout. Thanks
mac_shinobi Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 what features or requirements were you after ? I know the ATI 5770 is the cheaper version of the 5870 and can dual display
Darknight Posted October 26, 2010 Author Posted October 26, 2010 I need to split a single image or powerpoint slideshow across 2x projectors. I need to keep it as simple as possible so anyone can use it.

Darknight Posted October 26, 2010 Author Posted October 26, 2010 A VGA splitter ?? Surely this will just project the same image on both screens rather than splitting it across the 2 screens?

I assume you are trying to make one powerpoint show split cleverly across 2 projectors like a video wall style effect? Do you have the projectors already? If not NEC make some which has a clever functionality to do just this thing without needing fancy VGA cards they work it all out themselves, you have to set them up to start with but once done they are great so I'm told. 1
Arthur Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Surely this will just project the same image on both screens rather than splitting it across the 2 screens? Correct. The image quality will also suffer (at least it has on all the splitters I have used in the past). Are you using a laptop or a desktop PC for this? If the latter, another alternative would be to get a dual head graphics card for it and a copy of UltraMon or DisplayFusion. Both can stretch windows across all monitors/projectors. 1
