Will City Learning Centre be affected by government CUTS ??

Just a question to throw into the mix..

 

Will or Have City learning Centres will be/been affected by government Cuts..

Yes, our local one closed it's doors to students last Friday.

 

What's bothering me is what is going to happen to the equipment? I know of one CLC that has just bought 130 iPads!

I Know what you mean with equipment, Hopefully they will be put to good use....!!

Pretty sure most will be in some form of trouble. As most of the funding for CLC's came through BECTA. Maybe there will be some choice equipment going though,

Unless they can find our own funding they will close...

A CLC I know of has had it's IT funding slashed to about £10k a year. I feel bad for them, but still, for the last few years their budget has been disgusting. They have whole class sets if Ipods, DSLites, netbooks etc just going to waste in store rooms. They have not spent wisely at all, and now they will really suffer.
