TechSupp Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 If its just an inetrim solution then what about Partimage on the RescueCD or clonezilla, image to a portable drive then image each laptop. Did 20 odd netbooks like that in no time. Then when he has more time look at FOG or WDS to see which best suits his situation. Thats what I have done and ended up with a FOG setup (manual addition to network and rename as never had time to look much further than the standard setup).
sted Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 i wouldnt bother with ghost these days ive moved from that to wds/mdt/winstall le install the 1st pc (just windows dotnet etc) from mdt update it then pull into wds and fire out to others then use gpo's (msi/vbs/bat) to deploy software i run wds/mdt in a single server environment and have never noticed it crippling my dc it does slow down a bit but is still more than usable
