Connecting to home from work software?

Hi

 

Just a quick question

 

Is it possible for me to install a VNC or Remote desktop application on my work PC and at my home PC so i can connect to my home computer and do work on there while im at work?

 

We are on domain at work but that shouldnt stop any access connecting out should it?

Try internet based tools such as LogMeIn Free or TeamViewer.

As long as your firewall is set to allow, then web gui solutions like logmein etc can do the job.

 

You can even Remote Desktop with an ipad, i do it regularly if im out an about visiting customers.

Most LA ISPs block the use of these as has been the case in our County.

Have used original version on xp but web site says 7, may work, just have to try I suppose.

No problems with Logmein here - reguarly use it out and in to school.
