Hi All,

Does anyone have any information on the sims.net database structure ? I am particularly interested in how the time table is stored ? and how to tell which cycle the timetable is in ?

Thanks

Sims are quite guarded about what's goes on in their database. They also release patches every 6 weeks, and any of these could change the database structure.

The general consensus is the best way to do this sort of thing is to get sims to generate a report with the data you need.

A school I know use this method to use sims to automatically create accounts on AD and Moodle.

The Timetable 'Cycle' is shown in each pupil's 'Student Curriculum' via Tab 2 Timetable. It shows at bottom left when you click on any lesson.

If you have changed the cycle part way through a year then all the cycles will show.

Hi,

I am looking to something similar with merits, do you know if Sims has a way of automating this report generation? The plan is to not have to run a report once a week and have "something" do it for me every X days.
