[ms office - 2010] Office and ribbon customizing

We've come to a bit of a problem, staff want to customize the ribbon and have the same settings every time they login, problem is they are all on mandatory profiles so these settings revert to a fixed state every time they log off again, can anyone recommend a solution to this?

Non-Mandatory profiles - ie Roaming for Staff

Not an option and never will be, any other ideas?

 

I'm after something like redirecting the location word saves it's defaults or something so they could save a defaults file in to their home folder and when they load word it loads those defaults....something along those lines anyway, possible or not?

Ah good point, depends whether it's held within the roaming or local appdata i guess as to how easy that is to do, i shall take a look and report back!

Finally got around to looking at this again, i think the file im looking for, though im not 100% sure, is Word.OFFICEUI in appdata\local\microsoft\office seem like what im after? problem being that is obviously in the local appdata

A question: If they have mandatory profiles which give a standard look and feel, giving the options for customization is the complete opposite?
