elsiegee40 Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Good-oh! I'll check out the changes and update my guide.... again!
powdarrmonkey Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Where is this download all content feature and how is it controlled?
elsiegee40 Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 (edited) More accurately these groups are "Friend Lists" Friends Lists are a way to organize your list of friends on Facebook and to target privacy settings. You can also filter your view of each list’s stream of activity separately on the home page. To create and customize your own Friend Lists, please follow these steps: Go to the Friends page. Clicking the Account drop-down at the top of any page, and then click on "Edit Friends." Click the Create New List button at the top of the page to create a new list, or type the name of a friend in the left-side search field to add a friend to an existing list. You can also click on an existing Friend List on the left-side of the page, and then click on the Edit List button. If you have more than two Friend Lists, you can easily add or remove friends from lists by using the drop-down menu that appears next to their names on the "All Friends" tab of the Friends page. No substitute for getting your general settings right, but a useful feature. TBH if you post things you don't want certain Friends to see... don't post it at all... or don't have these people as Friends! Edited October 7, 2010 by elsiegee40
powdarrmonkey Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Friend lists have always existed; my impression of this announcement was that groups extend to much more content than lists do.
CAM Posted October 7, 2010 Author Posted October 7, 2010 I am confused myself as to how it worked before. I had people sorted into groups but never knew how to use it beyond filtering my wall. But as Elsgiee says, if it's that important not to post, don't post it.
