[mdt] Auto Login as Administrator

Hi,

 

We are successuly using MDT 2010 in my school for image deployment. At the moment though we have to remove the PC from the room to image as when its finished, the machine will auto login as local administrator and finish some scripts.

 

Is there any way we can stop this or even another solution to auto log off??

For XP I add a command to the TS to lock the console while it runs the last bit.

 

rundll32.exe user32.dll, LockWorkStation

 

I assume you can do that or similar with Win7, but don't know. There will still be a brief spell when it first logs in which someone clueful might just be able to do something wicked though.

 

And you can tell the TS to reboot right at the very end so it comes back up and sits at the normal logon screen.

I'm having the same problem as well. When it's finishing deploying the image the workstation will automatically login with the administrator account. Even a manual reboot still makes the administrator account login.

 

How would you use psexec to stop this from happening, and that it leaves you with the login screen for username and password?

You can do this from within MDT - You need to add the FinishAction variable to the Deployment Share.

 

If you open Deployment Workbench, right click on the MDT Deployment Share, then click on the Rules tab, under the [Default] section, you need to add the following line:

 

FinishAction=RESTART

 

SHUTDOWN and LOGOFF are also valid actions.

 

Click OK then right click the Deployment Share again and click Update Deployment Share & follow it through.

I tried the FinishAction line but it didn't work.

 

Can I have a look at your CustomSettings and Bootstrap file, please? Also, do you do any different things to your task sequence files? I have to disable the 'recover from domain' step or otherwise the ZTIDomainJoin presents a message: ztidomainjoin has attempted to join to [ENGLAND] domain too many times count = 4

 

I don't think my image is being deployed successfully. On the C drive shouldn't the MININT and _SMSTaskSequence folder be deleted?
