How far down the line are you with thinking about going to live@edu?

 

I am just preparing myself with some information as i can see, i too am going to get asked about having email for kids on our domain, but i dont want to look after lots of mailboxes on our exchange server, esp when we are talking nearly 850 so i too was thinking about live@edu for students.

The Local Authority seem keen to get every school using Live@edu. Our pupils, whilst having an email client in school, never actually use them. The staff use Outlook client in school and something else outside of school. That situation may change as the new OWA service kicks in from Exchange 2010.

 

I am now on enforced leave from school, as a team from the Local Authority are completing the upgrade/development project that I've been working on all summer. So it may all have been done by the time I'm allowed back into school.
