Auto configure Outlook with IMAP settings

I am not sure if anyone has asked this already, but we use the Lancs NGfL Exchange servers as IMAP / OWA as they havn't allowed Exchange features yet.

 

I was thinking of setting up Outlook to automatically pick up their details from AD - Name / Email Address - and then setting somewhere for the incoming and outgoing servers. The option needs to be set to authenticate against the SMTP side of things and also to change the sending port.

 

The .PST file also needs to be set somewhere, I have noticed the option to relocate the .PST file but wasn't 100% sure where to point it to.

 

Also, is there a option to set it to be either POP3 or IMAP?

Can it be done on a User basis, or does it have to be on a OU?

I'd probably consider using an Outlook Profile File (PRF) for this so you can configure the settings to suit.
